The quickest way to understand what we do is to hear it on your own station.
Send us a sample of your output – thirty seconds is plenty – and tell us the bitrate you are carried on. We will encode it at a range of bitrates through our encoder and through ODR-AudioEnc, the open-source encoder built around FDK-AAC that is the de facto standard across UK small-scale DAB – and almost certainly what your multiplex runs today. Both sets of files come back to you with the settings used for each, so the comparison is one anyone can reproduce.
We will normally come back to you within one working day.
Send us your stream. FLAC or MP3, or use the free Icecast mountpoint we give you.
Tell us where you are carried. We contact each operator and arrange the handover. You do not need to.
That is it. We encode, deliver, monitor and maintain.
Any multiplex running a standard EDI input can take our feed, which covers essentially every small-scale multiplex in the UK.
